Foundation

The Resilience Foundation is our not-for-profit organization. We help communities build resilience on pro-bono basis through generous volunteering of our expert volunteers for social good.

Global Resilience Collaboration Center (GRCC) promotes collaborative research and action on the cross-border promotion of resilience.

Community Resilience

Training of Buddhist Monks

Resilience delivered a two-day residential training on community resilience with a focus on disaster management in collaboration with Sarvodaya. The beneficiaries of this program included 25 Buddhist monks from Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

Community Resilience and Pandemic Resilience

Training of Religious Leaders

Resilience partnered with Sarvodaya through the Small and Mighty Grants Program of the US Embassy Colombo in conducting the Pillars of Resilience project. Hundred religious leaders were trained through the project. In addition, Resileince partnered with Sarvodaya through the AHA funded CORRECRt-19 project to engage religious leaders to promote pandemic resilience.

Freedom of Religion or Belief

Youth for Freedom of Religion or Belief (Y-FORB)

Resilience partnered with Sri Lanka Unites to deliver the Y-FORB project supported by the Small and Mighty Grants Program of the US Embassy Colombo.

Community Resilience and Health Systems Resilience

Launch of International Journals

The Asia Foundation’s Changemakers Development Fund supported the establishment of the International Journal of Community Resilience and International Journal of Health-Systems Resilience.

Consultancies on Health Emergencies

Resilience provided consultancy services to WHO on several areas in the area of Health-Systems Resileince.

Pillars of Resilience and Y-FORB Projects

The US Embassy Colombo was a generous donor of two Small and Mighty Grants to Resilence. The Pillars of Resilience project was focussed on building the capacity of religious leaders on community resilience. The Y-FORB project was aimed at promoting youth engagement on Freedom of Religion or Belief.

Training of Americares Volunteers

Resilience delivered a community resilience training to the Americares Volunteers in Sri Lanka.

Pandemic Resilience

CORRECT-19 Project

Resilience received a small grants project that was part of the European Union funded AHA! Awareness with Human Action project that seeks to contribute to the response efforts of the COVID-19 pandemic by preventing conflict and building social cohesion in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and broader South Asia. The AHA! project is implemented by a consortium of project partners, including the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers/Finn Church Aid, World Faiths Development Dialogue, the Center for Peace and Justice – Brac University, the Center for Communication and Development of Bangladesh, Islamic Relief Worldwide, the Youth Development Foundation, and Sarvodaya.
