Community resilience can be defined as the ability of a community to ‘bounce back’ and recover using its own resources. It also means the ability of groups or communities to cope with external shocks and stresses because of social, environmental, and political change. To discuss the application of the concept of community resilience during the economic challenges that the country is facing right now, Resilience Research, Training and Consulting (Resilience RTC) in collaboration with Sarvodaya Movement, World Food Program, and the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management is organizing an information session: Power of Community Resilience during Challenging Economic Times. The audience of this information session were community leaders, civil society activists, religious and faith leaders, and youth leaders involved in supporting the communities during these challenging times.
